Join SAME-Rock Island Post and ASCE-Quad Cities Section on April 11th as we tour the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center. We will meet at Rock Island Arsenal Building 212 at 11:30am, commence the tour at 12 noon, and then have lunch afterwards. A visitor pass is required to enter Rock Island Arsenal, see below for more information. 


ABOUT RIA-JMTC

The Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center occupies 1.5 million square feet of its Kingsbury Complex home. As the only multi-purpose and vertically integrated metal manufacturer in the Department of Defense, the center possesses the unique technical expertise and equipment to manufacture products high in quality and sustainability. RIA-JMTC also reaches out to the community by offering machinist apprenticeships and other training programs to qualified applicants. VISITOR INFORMATION

Visitors are welcome at Rock Island Arsenal.
A visitor pass is required to enter Rock Island Arsenal.
-Visitors must complete a favorable criminal background check before entry.
-All first time visitors must present a valid state identification card, driver’s license or valid U.S. Passport.
-!! Residents of Minnesota, Missouri and Washington: Driver's license will not be accepted
-Foreign Nationals are not allowed access, unless visiting for Official Business.
-All first time visitors must process through the Moline Gate Visitor Center.
-Visitors arriving outside of Visitor Center hours will be assisted at the Moline Gate.
-Visitors with a pass may use any gate.
-Visitor hours are from Sunrise to Sunset, unless official business, visits to families living on Rock Island Arsenal, or events are            scheduled after these hours.

Moline Gate Visitor Center Hours
-Monday through Friday (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
-Saturday and Sunday (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

Driving Directions
-Directions Driving (from Iowa) To the Moline Entrance: take Interstate 74 to the River Drive exit and turn left. Go two blocks and just before the overpass turn right and follow the ramp up to Moline Bridge to the Arsenal.

-Directions Driving (from Illinois using I-74) To access the Rock Island Arsenal from Illinois using I-74 take I-74 West to the 7th Avenue exit. Turn left onto 7th Avenue and follow to 14th Street. Turn right and go straight down the street and up the ramp to the Moline Bridge to the Arsenal.

-The speed limit on Arsenal Island is 25 mph. Watch for signs. The Illinois seat belt law is enforced on Arsenal Island. Rock Island Arsenal is a U.S. Army military installation and the use of cell phones while driving is prohibited without a hands-free device.
